The Impact of Self-care Education on Awareness and Attitude in Patients with Asthma

Introduction: Asthma is the most common chronic disease  resulting in variable restrictions in most aspects of life and it reduces the quality of  life. Health education and behavioral improvement  methods are effective ways for preventing and controlling Asthma . The Prupose of this study was to  investigate the effect of self care education on knowledge and  attitude in patients with Asthma were per formed.   Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of  self care education on the awarenss, attitudes of patients with Asthma Shahid Beheshti  Hospital in Hamedan city in 2018. Method: This quasi – experimental study recruited 104 patients with asthma randomly divided intocase (n=52) and control (n=52) groups. Both groups received routine training of the ward, but the case group received self-care education. Data were collected using a researcher-made question naire whose validity and reliability were confirmed in previous studies. Data were analyzed in SPSSv16.
